Hello and welcome to my blog. We’re CASEing a Blending Brush Technique this week, what’s your favourite technique? You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve chosen to CASE the pansy card at the bottom of page 15 of the Annual Catalogue. This sample card has used blending brushes for the background and to add extra colour to the flowers and leaves.

I don’t have the Pansy Patch Bundle so I used the Poppy Moments Dies instead.

My card base is Soft Succulent followed by a layer of Soft Sea Foam. I’ve used the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks on some Basic White card stock for the next layer.

The poppy is die cut from Fresh Freesia and Rich Razzleberry card stock and the leaves are Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent. For the centre of the poppy I’ve used some retired 2021-2023 In Colour Shimmer Vellum and a Loose Flower Flourish. I’ve also added some Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon behind the sentiment and some Wink of Stella to the poppy.

Marvi posed nicely this week. Maybe he’s been bored with all this rain we’ve been getting and was happy to model for me.

Great card. Love the colour combo and the stencilled background.
