Hello and welcome to my blog and welcome to our Sunday night blog hop CASEing the Catty. This week we are CASEing our Favourite Retiring Product from either Catalogue.
I’ve chosen to CASE the “love you friend” card on page 103 of the Annual Catalogue.
This card uses two of my favourite retiring products, Shaded Summer stamp set and the co-ordinating Summer Shadows Dies. The Shaded Summer stamp set is on the Last Chance list at 60% off ($16.40AU) and the Summer Shadows Dies are also 60% off ($24.00AU). Don’t forget you can order from the Last Chance list from the 4th April 2023, while stocks last.
My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Mint Macaron then a layer of Delicate Desert DSP. I’ve used some Fluid Watercolour paper with ink pads and a Water Painter to create pieces of card stock to die cut my flowers and leaves. I’ve used Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Blackberry Bliss inks.
I’ve layered the flowers and leaves over the top of each other which creates such a great two tone watercolour look.
The sentiment is also from the Shaded Summer stamp set and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink. I’ve also added some Metallic Mesh Ribbon behind the sentiment and a few Basic Rhinestones.
Here’s Marvi posing quite nicely with my card. Just after I took this picture he decided it was cat nap time and curled up on the bed for a sleep.
