Hello and welcome to my blog and welcome to our Sunday night blog hop CASEing the Catty. Happy Easter, I hope everyone has had a wonderful relaxing long weekend. This week we are CASEing our Favourite Retiring Bundle from either Catalogue.
I’ve chosen to CASE the card on the very right hand side of page 93 of the Annual Catalogue and although the bundle is retiring the stamp set will still be available in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue.
The Bundle is called the Botanical Layers Bundle however it’s not your typical stamp and die bundle. This bundle is a stamp set and Vellum Bundle. The Bundle contains the Botanical Layers Stamp Set and the Lovely Layers Vellum. The Vellum pack contains 60 sheets of vellum 9.5cm x 12.7cm. 20 of those sheets have printed designs on them with the other 40 sheets being plain vellum. The Lovely Layers Vellum is currently on the Last Chance List and is selling for $6.30AU.
I’ve changed the colours of my card but kept fairly close to the layout. My card base is Crumb Cake followed by layers of Pretty Prints DSP and Lovely Layers Vellum. I’ve used a printed design piece of vellum, it has the black circles already printed on it. I stamped some leaves directly onto the vellum using Parakeet Party ink. I’ve also White Heat Embossed some leaves directly onto the vellum.
I have fussy cut the Pale Papaya leaves from the Botanical Layers stamp set. The die cut pieces are from the Meadow Dies. I’ve also added some For Everything Fancy Sequins for some extra bling.
I’m not sure what Marvi thinks of my card this week. He may be struggling with the two angled layers on my card. I know I struggled not having my layers straight and even.
