Hello and welcome to my blog. This week is our first CASE from the new May-August 2026 Catalogue and we can CASE whatever we like. You may have hopped over from Rochelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
I didn’t have to look far for the project I was going to CASE as it’s on the front cover.
The project on the front cover uses the Bloom Boutique SDSP however I’ve used the Moonlit Flora DSP.
My card base is Mossy Meadow followed by a layer of Basic Black. Next I’ve cut several 4cm x 4cm squares from some Moonlit Flora DSP and I’ve adhered them to another piece of Basic Black which I’ve then die cut using the Scalloped Blooms Dies. I needed to trim the edges of my scalloped piece to fit on my card.
I’ve used the Phrases and Frames Dies together with the Impressions Plate to create the Gold Foil frame around the sentiment. Using the Impressions Plate with the Impressions Dies gives you the best cutting and embossing results. Adding this plate to your sandwich results in precise die-cut images and detailed embossing. I’ve also added some Old Olive 3/8″ Specialty Rickrack behind the sentiment. The little Basic White and Berry Burst flowers are die cut using the Fern and Flora Dies.
Marvi was outside in the fresh air and sunshine. He alternates from chair to chair. When he gets too hot he moves to a shady chair, it’s like he’s playing musical chairs but all by himself.
