Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. It’s been another big week. Yesterday, myself and two of my demo friends, Lou & Megan, hosted a Craft Day Retreat at Purple Copper at Peregian Springs. That combined with work, a medical procedure and a cold has me exhausted. But not too tired to share this week’s CASEing the Catty project.
You may have hopped over to me from Rose, I just loved her project. This week we are CASEing our Favourite Big Shot Project from the Holiday Catty. Hmm……I looked through the Catty 3 times before I decided what to CASE then chose the card on page 27.
Now at first glance this card does not appear to have much Big Shot-ing (is that a word?) on it but my version does.
I used the largest Layering Oval to die cut the front of my card…..Big Shot. I don’t have the Christmas Happiness Stamp Set but I do have Pretty Pines Thinlits. I’ve die cut the pine leaves and pine cone rather than stamping them……Big Shot. I’ve also embossed the front of my card with the Quilt Top Embossing Folder so that’s heaps of Big Shot-ing.
I did a very light water colour wash in Soft Sky on some Water Colour paper and attached that to the inside of my card. My pine cone is die cut from Copper Foil Sheet and my sentiment is heat embossed in Copper.
Next up in the crew hop is the very talented Megan. Her project is just gorgeous. Just click the next button to hop on over.

Beautiful project and wonderful big shotting. (Yes, it has to be a word!). I love these pretty pines thinlits. They are superb. And the quote top is a wonderful finishing touch.
Lovely card Peta – I love your adaptation to make one of the catalogue photos more “Big Shot”! Kelly x
I really love the extra dimension your die cut leaves give to this card, and the foil cone is a perfect finish.
Lovely card Peta, the watercolour looks so soft behind the cut out images.
Different Christmas card with the pine cone, but I liked it very much. Again great card. Thanks Peta XX
Beautiful card Peta! I love how you “big shotted” it to adapt it!
Just gorgeous, Peta. I love your CASE using the Pretty Pines Thinlits (my preference).
