Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a layout and stepping it up. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

After looking through both catalogues a couple of times I decided on the second card from the left on page 110 of the Annual Catalogue.

Even though this card has embossing paste and gilded leafing I thought I could still step it up.

My card base is Smoky Slate with a layer of In Good Taste DSP. I’ve added a stamped Smoky Slate panel over the DSP then I’ve die cut some leaves using the Meadow Dies. My leaves are in Basic Black, Grey Granite, Basic Grey and Whisper White.

I’ve stamped then fussy cut some tiny little flowers then popped them up on dimensionals. I’ve also added a Petal Pink butterfly, some Opal Rounds and some retired Blushing Bride 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon.

The sun finally came back out for just a moment and I was able to take a few pictures of my card. Marvi, of course, was more interested in the sun on his belly. Just look at the contentment on that upside down face.
It’s time to hop over and see Rachel’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.

Love the multiple colours of leaves dies you’ve combined and the DSP background. Marvi definitely does look like he’s enjoying the sun!
Your card is so pretty! All the layered die cuts look wonderful, and I love the addition of the sweet little butterfly.
