CTC348 – Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog. Can you believe it’s just under 2 weeks until Christmas. The year has flown by, yet again.

This week at CASEing the Catty we have a sketch challenge. We’re CASEing the card on page 47 of the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Judy’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

Here is a breakdown of the sketch.

This is a great layout and I had so many ideas swirling around in my head. I ended up using the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP on my project because it’s too pretty not to use.

My card base is Basic Grey with layers of Peaceful Place SDSP and Smoky Slate. I’ve stamped the Smoky Slate piece in Memento Black using the Merriest Moments stamp set. The flowers are stamped in Blushing Bride and Pool Party and die cut with the co-ordinating Merriest Frames Dies.

I’ve added some Blushing Bride 3/8″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon. The greeting is Silver Heat Embossed on Basic White card stock.

Poor old Marvi had a mast cell tumour removed from his head/face. Here he is showing off his stitches, I think he’s really rocking the new half shaved cat look lol. Half shaved face and half shaved tummy. His tummy was shaved for an ultrasound on his spleen. He’s doing really well and gets his stitches out on Friday.
