Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing anything from the Jan – June 2022 Mini Catalogue. With so many options, what will you CASE? You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
It was a tough decision but I liked the slimline card on page 44 of the Mini Catty, so I’ve used that as my inspiration.
I made my card a regular size card and changed the colours but otherwise kept fairly similar to the sample card.
My card base is Pool Party followed with a layer of Friendly Hello DSP. My “doily” has been die cut, using the Encircled In Beauty Dies. I’ve then stamped the bird from the Friendly Hello stamp set and selectively coloured parts of the image with Stampin’ Blends.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is White Heat Embossed. I’ve added some Basic Rhinestones and some Fresh Freesia 3/8″ open weave ribbon. I’ve used the Sprig Punch to create the leaves.
Some days you just have to get whatever photo you can manage. Marvi is relaxing in his favourite morning position. The sun comes in this window for about a hour each morning so he has to make the most of it.

Great card Peta, I love your more striking stripy background, I think it makes the bird pop more.
A change of colours makes the card so different.

I think I may have to CASE your colouring. I love how it makes everything pop because of the white you left. The striped DSP was a great choice and everything just blends perfectly.
